Building a stronger sense of self-worth and developing self-compassion.
Low self-esteem affects how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and the choices we make. It can show up as harsh self-criticism, difficulty accepting compliments, people-pleasing, or feeling fundamentally "not good enough" regardless of what you achieve. It's one of the quieter reasons people decide to see a therapist.
Often, low self-esteem develops from early experiences — critical caregivers, bullying, difficult family dynamics, or messages we absorbed about our worth. As a psychotherapist I help you trace where those beliefs came from, because understanding their origin is what loosens their grip.
Building self-esteem is a gradual process. In sessions you'll experience acceptance and positive regard, which can help you begin to see yourself through kinder eyes and develop a more stable relationship with yourself.
